4. How we use information
We use information to create and manage user accounts; process item photos and generate AI-assisted listing suggestions; save and manage users’ items and listing information; provide subscription features; operate, secure and improve SnapAttic; detect abuse or technical problems; respond to support requests; and meet legal and regulatory obligations.
5. AI processing
SnapAttic uses third-party AI services to analyse item photos and related information and to generate suggested listing content and estimated pricing information. Information is sent for AI processing only where needed to provide the requested feature.
AI-generated suggestions can be inaccurate. Users remain responsible for reviewing and editing information before relying on it or using it in a sales listing.

We do not sell personal information. We may use service providers that process information on our behalf, including providers of cloud hosting, databases, authentication, private file storage, AI processing, email, subscription billing, security, monitoring and technical support.
We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect our legal rights.
7. Third-party marketplaces and services
SnapAttic may help users prepare information for third-party marketplaces or open external services. Those services operate independently from SnapAttic, and their own terms and privacy policies apply.
8. Data retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide SnapAttic, maintain security and records, meet legal obligations and resolve disputes. Item photos and associated item data may be removed when an item or account is deleted, subject to limited backup, security, fraud-prevention and legal-retention periods.
9. Account and data deletion
You can request deletion of your SnapAttic account and associated personal data using the account-deletion option provided by SnapAttic, where available, or by emailing enquiries@snapattic.co.uk.
We may retain limited information where necessary for legal compliance, fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution or legitimate record-keeping requirements.
10. Security
We use technical and organisational measures designed to protect information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or alteration. These include authenticated access controls, encrypted network connections and private storage for user content where appropriate.
11. International processing
Some service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, we take steps intended to ensure appropriate safeguards apply in accordance with applicable data-protection law.
